first, a little history
Tarot began in fifteenth-century Italy as a card game for aristocrats, and only centuries later drifted into the candle-lit business of fortune-telling. A full deck holds seventy-eight cards: twenty-two Major Arcana — the big, archetypal moments of a life — and fifty-six Minor Arcana, divided into four suits that speak to everyday matters of energy, feeling, thought, and reward.
A reading is simple: shuffle, draw, and let the cards act as mirrors. They don't predict the future so much as give you new angles on the present — which, coincidentally, is also what happens when you stare at a cat long enough.
This deck replaces every classical symbol with the iconography of one specific tabby. The Wheel of Fortune is a ball of yarn. The Tower is a toppled vase. The Devil is, of course, the red dot.
